TECHNICAL:
When will it be finished?
Consider this: Silent Hill 2 took two years to complete, and fifty professionals worked on it full time. We've had not even half that many amateurs working on this game for about 6 months. So the answer to this question is: it will be finished when it is done, and not sooner.
How big will it be? I get this question a lot, and since it's not finished, I can't answer it.
What are the minimum system requirements? A lot of 3dgs stuff downgrades well, it seems, so it should run on damn near any computer. Some test stuff runs on a computer I had sitting in my parents' attic that I haven't upgraded at all since 1999. That being said, some of the pixel shaders and stuff won't work on older computers, and the game will therefore look best on newer computers with newer graphics cards.
What will the controls be like? As simple to use as possible, I hope, and hopefully will support gamepad though I haven't tried that yet. Right now it's setup as arrows for walking, space for action, I don't even remember the rest since that's all i'm using for now, I need more monsters before I can program the fighting in.
Preview images: So far, there is nothing BUT preview images posted anywhere, so please quit your bitching about textures, lighting, polys, and so on. When testing minor details and things there is no reason to wait for the whole level to render at high resolution with materials, shaders, shadows, sky, etc.
STORY:
Is this a remake? No, no and another resounding NO.
Will there be scenes similar to [whatever] scene in the film? NO. For legal reasons this is a bad idea and there will be nothing resembling scenes from the film. Scenes will all be original to this game. Also, if it's been done already in the film or in another game, why waste our time remaking the same scene? Cutscenes are time consuming and difficult.
OTHER:
Cost? I've said it a thousand times but people keep on asking, so here's you answer. FREE. Of course it's free, I'm not really wanting to go to jail for this and it would be tremendously illegal to charge money for a fan-made silent hill game!
Download? Yes, it's for download. We can't burn it for you because I can't afford to do that, and we can't legally accept money to burn it for you. Therefore, free and download only. We will upload it as many places as possible to maximize your downloading convenience.
Soundtrack? Soundtrack will be by a small place of forgetting, though we may still need/be able to add a few other things.
Languages: English, German, Spanish, Russian and Portuguese; possibly French if I get around to it. Others if anyone else wants to help with them. These will be small downloadable, easy-to-install patches.
Voice-overs? Maybe.
Cutscenes? Some.
Game Endings: I'd like to have quite a few, including some secret ones. We'll work on it.
Game Title? We don't have one. We have a main, real-life core group consisting of myself, livingdeadgirl, and ASPOF, who have collectively decided that whatever it is, it should not be anything that sounds like a 12 year old goth kid made it up. Probably nothing about pain or anguish or torment or anything, something simple and perhaps slightly ambiguous. As we three have spent the most time and money on this, we have the final say, I'm afraid.
What's the weather like? Well, here in Edinboro it's snowing like hell.. Oh, wait. Weather in the game... I'm all about darkness and rain and rusty metal, me. Maybe some fog, haven't decided yet.
Areas?: Am working on making some areas from SH1 in higher resolution and/or totally redone. Revisited areas include the 2 hospitals, Midwich elementary, Heaven's Night, Toluca Lake, amusement park, maybe hotel and probably many others. New areas: Lisa's House, Dahlia's (entire) house, Happy Burger, another church, various stores and buildings, and some forest area.

Главный первонаж - Лиза, медсестра из SH1. В игре будет оригинальная сюжетная линия с видео-вставками и голосовым исполнением."

Только не думайте, что SP на первом рисунке - гритинг к SilentPyramid! Хотя можете и думать - от этого ничего не изменится...

я и ещё один парень находимся в команде разработчиков. в итоге нас двое русских.
за локализацию сильно не пинайте=)
короче, вот.
если есть какие вопросы, задавайте
зы. и ещё. игра теперь не про Лизу. так решила Эми, поразмыслив над авторскими правами. На счёт использования в фан-игре самого города Конами вроде бы не возражает.
